A Little About Me

Experience & Background

I bring nearly 20 years of experience working in recovery- and support-focused environments, alongside lived experience that informs how I understand change, resilience, and the realities of healing.

My professional background includes training and work in social work and addictions support, which shapes my understanding of emotional regulation, substance use, grief, loss, and the impact of trauma on the nervous system. This experience informs my approach to coaching — while remaining clearly outside the role of therapy or counselling.

Over the years, I’ve supported individuals navigating:

  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm

  • Substance use and recovery journeys

  • Grief, loss, and major life transitions

  • Burnout, boundaries, and self-abandonment

  • Rebuilding stability after difficult life experiences

My work has shown me that many people don’t need more labels or clinical intervention — they need practical tools, safety, and support that fits real life.

At Pathways… Your Journey to Recovery, I believe that meaningful change begins when people feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.

My work is grounded in creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where individuals can slow down, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and build practical tools in a way that feels manageable and aligned with their lives.

My approach is holistic, client-centred, and strength-based, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. Coaching is collaborative and flexible, focused on helping you identify what works for you — not forcing a one-size-fits-all solution.

Together, we focus on building clarity, resilience, and sustainable skills that support growth, recovery, and forward movement — at a pace that feels right for you.

My Goal for Pathways

To provide ethical, competent, and recovery-informed coaching to individuals navigating emotional overwhelm, recovery, and life challenges.

Pathways Mission Statement

My mission is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where people can learn, grow, and build skills that support lasting change delivered with knowledge, skill, integrity, authenticity, compassion and empathy.

Pathways Values Statement

At Pathways… Your Journey to Recovery, my work is guided by a deep commitment to integrity, respect, empathy, and ethical practice. I strive to support every individual with dignity and care, regardless of race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or social or economic status.

My approach is grounded in compassion, transparency, and respect for each person’s autonomy and lived experience. I draw on my professional background, education, and lived experience to offer competent, recovery-informed, and non-clinical coaching that is supportive, ethical, and aligned with each individual’s goals.

I am committed to practicing within a clear scope. When someone presents with needs that fall outside the role of coaching, I recognize this openly and encourage connection with appropriate professional, medical, or community-based supports that may better meet those needs.

I value authenticity and believe meaningful support begins with honesty, trust, and a non-judgmental stance. I aim to create a space that feels respectful and safe, where individuals can speak openly, reflect on their experiences, and work toward goals that matter to them.

I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. I continue to deepen my understanding through education, reflection, and engagement with evolving best practices in recovery-informed and support-based work, so that the coaching I offer remains ethical, informed, and responsive.
